This high-spirited musical about four women of mixed ages and backgrounds who meet in a gynecologist’s office proves that best friendships can begin from chance encounters. The show explores women’s natural affinity for connecting with each other. The songs touch on the shared elements of women’s lives: Shoes, She’s Having a Baby, Hand Pick Your Man and among others, Chick Soup, the title song that welcomes all to the joyful sharing of sisterhood.

CAST OF CHARACTERS:

MICHELLE: Late twenties to thirty-something woman looking for a mate; timid, sweet, anxious, cute

ROBIN: Very pregnant/thirty to forty-something woman overwhelmed with responsibility as a mother and wife; frustrated singer and actress, dramatic, vivacious, funny

MADELYN: Fifty -something menopausal woman, attractive, confident and direct, a well-dressed business professional, well meaning but somewhat cynical

GLORIA: Late sixties/seventy/eighty- something woman, warm and nurturing, tender and tough, wise woman/crone

Here's the scoop on CHICK SOUP..When Kitt Moran (Recording artist, actress and radio personality) met Janina Serden (Grammy & Emmy nominated artist and producer) in a jazz club (The Cove) in NJ over thirty years ago, they became instant friends. Many years later when Kitt moved from NJ to FL, Kitt & Janina decided to write a show about their lives.
